Terms and Conditions

Your desired dates and rates are reserved once a payment has been received to secure those dates.

Fifty percent of the rental fees are due at time of reservation.

Approximately 30 days prior to arrival, we will process your credit card** for the balance due (50%) plus the San Diego city hotel tax (10.5%) and a $300.00 refundable*** security deposit.

Reservations made less than 30 days prior to arrival will be charged the full amount plus the San Diego city hotel tax (10.5%) and a $300.00 refundable*** security deposit.

Security deposit will be refunded to your credit card one week after departure.

If you make a reservation and need to cancel it thirty days before your scheduled arrival, there will be a $25.00 cancellation fee charged to your credit card. Your deposits, minus the cancellation fees, will be refunded to your credit card within seven days of our receiving your cancellation notice via email.

If you make a reservation and need to cancel it two weeks before your scheduled arrival, there will be a $150.00 cancellation fee charged to your credit card. Your deposits, minus the cancellation fees, will be refunded to your credit card within seven days of our receiving your cancellation notice via email.

If you cancel after the two weeks or fail to show, you will be charged the full cost of your reservation, and the $300.00 security deposit will be refunded.

There is no substitution of planned guests without the confirmed permission of www.lotuscottages.com .

All rates and taxes are subject to change without notice prior to making your reservation. Once your have made the initial payment for your reservation, the ratesare locked in and will not change.

We will send you emails reflecting charges to your credit card at the time of reservation and at the thirty days prior to arrival as well as a confirmation of your reservation.

One week prior to arrival we will email you directions from your point of arrival (at your request) as well as entry instructions to your Lotus Beach cottage.

On the date of your arrival, we will call you with a keyless entry codes. Please make certain that the phone number on the Guest Information Form is the correct one to contact you on the ate of arrival. If you do not answer, we will leave the code on your voice mail.

Depending upon the arrangements for your visit, we do not charge cleaning fees. The beach cottage is cleaned once a week, normally after our guests leave.

Unless other arrangements have been made, if your visit is three or fewer nights, there is a $65.00 cleaning charge.

Linens are provided.

For your convenience the following items are available to take to the beach at no extra charge.

4 beach chairs, beach towels, sand mats, umbrella, ice chest, football, Frisbee.

We offer discounts to members of the American Institute of Architects, the American Society of Structural Engineers and the American General Contractors Association

Note:

** Please note: You will see cadteacher.com on your credit card receipt. Lotuscottages.com is a subsidiary of CADTeacher.com.

*** The refundable deposit will be returned in full when we have reviewed the condition of the cottage after your departure and found there is no damage or articles missing. Should we find the cottage damaged or articles missing, we will evaluate the cost to replace or repair them and then deduct those amounts from your deposit. At which time, we will give you an itemized statement reflecting those deductions and refund your credit card accordingly, if applicable. If the cottage has been damaged beyond the amount of the deposit, a separate bill will be issued for the repairs and sent to the address on the guest information form.

There is NO SMOKING in the cottage. You may smoke on the decks. Please use an ashtray. If it has been determined that smoking occurred in the cottage, $200.00 of the security deposit will not be refunded.

No animals are allowed. If it has been determined that a pet was present in the cottage, $150.00 of the security deposit will not be refunded.

No more than four people allowed to stay in cottage.

Please be aware of volume levels with the TV, stereo and speaking voices being respectful of the neighbors.

Lock all doors, including the back door and the front & back gate whenever you leave. To enable the keyless lock, simply depress the “top button.” You will hear the lock mechanism activate. Turn the knob and the doors and/or gates will be locked. Check the lock to make sure it is locked.

Lotuscottages.com is NOT responsible for theft or damage of your personal property.

Check –in time is 2:00 pm. Check-out time is 11:00 am. You may request an earlier check-in time. If the Cottage is ready we will be happy to let you in sooner.
