Lotus 1, our
1932 Craftsman Cottage, is our flagship beach home.
Lotus 1 is 150 SF larger than Lotus 2, our historic, pine-panelled 1922 Beach Cottage. That's like going from a luxury suite (Lotus 2) to a grand luxury suite (Lotus 1).
The bedroom at Lotus 1 is especially wonderful. There is a private, covered deck just off of the sleeping area. With handsome louvered doors, romantic lighting and details on the bedroom ceiling which are simply wonderful -- you will most definitely enjoy your time in Lotus 1, the Craftsman Cottage.
Many of our guests have said that being at Lotus 1 is like being in a wonderful home, right at the beach.
Lotus 1 is
a wonderful place for a get-away vacation. It's about 210 steps to the beach. You're in a very special part of San Diego, one of the last true authentic beach neighborhoods.
We have two cottages, two doors apart. If you or your family would like to rent the cottages together, it would be our pleasure to have you stay with us.
In Lotus 1, the craftsman cottage, there are wonderful, craftsman details in every room. In the living room, there are dramatic open rafters below an old-growth fir ceiling. The ceiling in the bedroom is detailed just like "Greene and Greene." In the multi-function/dining room, you'll really enjoy its post and beam construction -- and the deck overhangs are beautiful. All this -- and you're right at the beach !

The Craftsman LotusCottage is a charming historic beach cottage built in 1932 and lovingly restored in 2010. This "new old house" contains arts-and-crafts details which you rarely see.
The cottage sleeps up to four people.
Included are two wonderful decks, a private, gated back yard, terrific kitchen and a state-of-the-art home theatre system.
